About This Event

Current realities across the globe are reshaping and transforming how society access and consumes broadcast media. It is also massively impacting how broadcasters and media organisations make their services available to consumers in a viable way.

Experts and industry practitioners believe that now is the utmost time to actively re-evaluate their broadcasting and media systems and operations and to understand how to best take advantage of the dynamics offered in this changing environment.

With the theme: “Traditional Media Sustainability Amid New Digital Technologies”, the 7th Broadcasters and Digital Media Convention – Africa (co-located with the 30th Annual General Meeting of the Southern Africa Broadcasting Association – SABA), which will take place in Zanzibar, Tanzania, is a 3-day industry meeting for all TV and radio broadcasters in – as well as other industry stakeholders – from across Southern Africa and beyond.

This industry summit will provide insights and practical understanding of critical issues and strategies that it will take to modernise the industry systems and operations in a sustainable and commercially viable manner.

As in previous editions, the Broadcasters and Digital Media Convention – Africa will showcase global best industry practices, detailing working strategies and plans for stakeholders and professionals from TV, radio, film, music, telecoms, advertising and new media platforms from within the region to connect, learn and do business.
