The Saudi Film Commission, a pivotal force in the Saudi film industry, is taking centre stage at the 10th Edition of the Saudi Film Festival. This prestigious event profiles the Commission’s active role in shaping the kingdom’s vibrant cinematic landscape.

This annual local film extravaganza, organised in collaboration with the Saudi Cinema Association and with the invaluable support of the Film Commission, stands as a testament to the kingdom’s vibrant cinematic landscape.

The Saudi Film Commission, in its continuous efforts to foster a thriving film community, is actively involved in the festival. Its participation is not only about propelling the film sector forward but also about nurturing budding talents. By fostering dialogue between filmmakers and industry experts, the Commission aims to showcase diverse knowledge and ideas, thereby contributing to the growth and development of the Saudi film industry.

At the heart of the Saudi Film Commission’s festival participation is its pavilion, a dynamic hub showcasing its vision, goals, strategies, and initiatives to advance the sector. This platform also facilitates networking opportunities for Saudi companies and talents, fostering collaboration and innovation within the industry.

In addition to extending financial support to the festival, the Commission is screening a selection of films it has backed, spanning various genres. Among these are animated films such as The Menace from Above and Saleeq, alongside feature films like Within Sand, Hajjan, and Salem’s Disappearance, all of which have benefited from the Commission’s incentives programme.

The festival features competitive events to elevate screenplays and film quality. To diversify its cinematic offerings, the festival has expanded its repertoire to include Arab and international productions. Furthermore, it offers a programme of workshops, seminars, and networking events designed to enrich the experience for filmmakers and industry professionals alike.
