Convenors of the 6th Broadcast And Digital Media Convention – Africa, which took place at the Serena Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, on the 25th – 27th of October 2022, have released to the general public the report, presentations and video materials covering the proceedings of the Convention.
Hosted by the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) and co-convened by this platform (Broadcast Media Africa) and the Southern Africa Broadcasting Association (SABA), the Convention brought together all industry stakeholders, including broadcasters, content creators, platform owners, regulators, telecoms organisations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Themed: ‘Digital Broadcasting – Promoting Our Values And Enriching Our Lives” – the purpose of the event was to appreciate and leverage the dynamics and drivers of the new digital environment and how they can use it to deliver and enhance value to consumers.
Attended by 150+ delegates from across Africa and the rest of the world, convenors said the industry meeting “brought together a cross-section of industry executives to examine the state-of-play and direction of the digital media broadcasting across Africa – with the view to collectively find practical African-centered solutions.”
The conveners would like to thank all the industry-leading speakers and panellists who contributed to the successful event. Also, the conveners sent special gratitude to Eutelsat, Sentech, AFP, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, France24 and all the organisations that supported the Convention.
