Sony Music Publishing, the international music publishing company, has launched a new office in Lagos, Nigeria, with Godwin Tom as Managing Director.
An arm of Sony Entertainment, Sony Music Publishing, with over five million owned and administered songs, is well known for its substantial advancement and support in the music industry.
Its expansion into Nigeria is an addition to its increasing market acceleration, which cuts across 40 countries, including South Africa.
Sony Music Publishing announced that Godwin Tom will be part of the company’s seamless expansion process in Nigeria.
With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Tom has fostered relationships with top stakeholders in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and South Africa.
Prior to his appointment, Tom was the CEO of talent management company iManage Africa, where he worked with top talent, including Wizkid, Davido, Waje, MI, Ikon, and many others.
