The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) has announced its reelection of Mrs Jibe Ologeh as the trusted leader and guide that will successfully steer the association from the Presidential seat.
The elections were held earlier this month.
Mrs Jibe Ologeh has been heading the association since her appointment in 2019 when she emerged as the 4th President of EMCOAN.
EMCOAN is the umbrella body that boasts 80% of electronic broadcast content ranging from content and programmes on TV, radio and online showcasing content such as dramas, soap series, entertainment and musical programmes, talk shows, reality shows, and sports magazine programmes in Nigeria.
During her acceptance speech, Mrs Ologeh recognised and appreciated the confidence that led to her reelection, which will run for the next two years. Ologeh made a vow that, with the association’s support, she would lead EMCOAN to greater heights.
In a statement released by the association, the election exercise also saw the election of Theophilus Akatugba as Vice President, Stephen Alayande as the General Secretary, Ugwu Chinedu as the Public Relations Akpezi Anita Agarry-Oke as the Financial Secretary and Longe Omolaja as Social Welfare Officer.
EMCOAN (Electronic Media Content Owners Association Of Nigeria) is an association of television and radio content producers and providers, including other such content that exists in other electronic media such as the web and new media. Membership is corporate and represented by Chief Executive Officers only.
EMCOAN and its members control up to 80 per cent of all the television and radio programmes in Nigeria and an enormous volume on DStv and other pay-tv platforms across Africa. EMCOAN principally exists to advance the business and economic interests of its members.
