
Organisers of the forthcoming International Conference on Audio-visual Archiving and Preservation – Africa 2023, to be held on Wednesday, 7th – Thursday, 8th June 2023, in Johannesburg – South Africa, have disclosed that top industry leaders will headline this year’s conference.
Convened Under the #Preserve Africa Archive (PAA) industry programme by Broadcast Media Africa in collaboration with Apricity Consulting, key leaders and senior executives that will be headlining this key industry gathering will include Mutanu Kyany’a, Head of Programs and Outreach at African Digital Heritage Foundation, Samuel Chabikwa, Chairperson: Records and Archives Management at Zimbabwe University of Science and Technology, Pedro Félix, Integrated Researcher at the Institute of Ethnomusicology, Richard Wright, Consultant at the Preservation Guide, Paul Lihoma, Director at the National Archives of Malawi, Mpho Ngoepe, Associate Professor: Department of Information Science at UNISA, and Shubha Chaudhuri, Associate Director General Archives and Research Centre for Ethnomusicology.
Commenting on the event, Ms Ilse Assmann of Apricity Consulting and co-convenor of this event said, “We look forward to hosting some of Africa’s greatest leaders in the industry.
