Ilse Assmann (M.Com, SACIA Certified Broadcasting Communications Technology Professional) founded Apricity Consulting to assist broadcasters and to transfer knowledge to heritage professionals and interest groups after first managing the SABC Media Libraries and then the SABC TV News Resources before accepting a position at MultiChoice, Africa’s leading subscription Television Broadcaster, to head the Television Archives and Video Library as the Media Information Management department. Ilse successfully led the department towards digitisation and a digital workflow.

Ilse has served on various local and international archive organisation committees, and is a former President of IASA (International Association for Sound and Audiovisual Archives).

Ilse is currently involved in the #PreserveAfricaArchives industry project.
