Industry Leader Liquid Intelligent Technologies’ chief financial officer, Lerato Pule, has recently resigned. Pule joined the company in February 2024 and is leaving less than a year after her appointment.
This marks the second company Pule has left after a short period, following her departure from mobile operator Cell C in August 2023, less than a year after becoming CFO.
During her time at Liquid South Africa, Pule was responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy as it continued to pursue its vision of a digitally connected future. In response to her departure, Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa confirmed that Pule had chosen to pursue opportunities outside the company, wishing her success and acknowledging her contributions.
Prior to her role as CFO at Cell C, Pule served as the company’s executive director of financial planning, analysis, and reporting from February 2022. She took over as Cell C CFO from Zaf Mahomed in September 2022. Pule also previously held the position of CFO of Telkom South Africa’s SME segment.
Pule, a qualified chartered accountant with over 16 years of experience in financial and business management at operational and strategic levels in various organizations, including BCX and African Bank, is not the first executive to recently resign from Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
In August 2024, the company’s Group Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Ben Roberts, stepped down from his role after 22 years with the group. Additionally, in October 2023, David Behr departed from the company to become the head of MTN’s ICT Centre of Excellence.
