Seacom, a leading subsea cable operator, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Mandisa Ntloko-Petersen as Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Charl Slabbert as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Slabbert joins Seacom with over 25 years of experience in finance, holding various executive roles. He specialises in corporate strategy, operations management, mergers and acquisitions, and stakeholder management. As a chartered accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and a chartered director from the Institute of Directors South Africa, he is well-equipped to lead the group’s financial strategy and ensure regulatory compliance. Slabbert stated, “My diverse background in strategic finance will allow me to contribute positively to Seacom, and I look forward to embracing the challenges of the CFO role.”
Ntloko-Petersen brings 30 years of marketing expertise in the ICT sector, having held leadership positions at companies like BCX, Dimension Data, MTN, and Accenture. Known for her innovative approach to brand positioning and digital strategies, she is committed to promoting youth and women’s development. She holds a degree in International Relations and Industrial Sociology from Wits University and completed her MBA at the University of Warwick with a Nelson Mandela Scholarship.
