TV BRICS is building stronger information partnerships with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, a new BRICS member. The Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), the official news agency of the Ethiopian government, has joined hands with the media network. The agreement was signed by TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova and ENA CEO Seife Deribe Endale in the presence of diplomats from both countries.

The Ethiopian Embassy in Moscow, in a show of solidarity, has extended its congratulations on the collaboration, highlighting its significant role in promoting mutual interests and raising awareness about BRICS activities. They foresee this partnership as a catalyst for fostering people-to-people relations among BRICS countries. Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeniy Terekhin, also expressed confidence that ENA and TV BRICS would work in the interests of all BRICS member states.

ENA, established in 1942, is the oldest news agency in Ethiopia and operates more than 38 branch offices across the country. It has strategic partnerships with local and foreign media organizations and news agencies, producing news content in six languages. Seife Deribe Endale, CEO of ENA, highlighted the agency’s goal to become the leading media organization on the African continent and stressed the importance of sharing regional and continental news with the media in Russia and other countries. Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of ENA as a reliable source of the African agenda.

With its active involvement in promoting African culture and youth development, TV BRICS is enthusiastic about collaboration with African countries. The network has already established partnerships in several African nations. It supports various events, such as the Africa BRICS Youth Forum and the World Festival of African Arts and Culture. These initiatives, in partnership with organizations in South Africa and youth associations within BRICS countries, are a testament to TV BRICS’s commitment to promoting African culture and youth development.
