West Africa’s Broadcasters Meeting In Nigeria To Access The Dynamics Of Content Production And Distribution In The Age Of AI
Industry Conference

The organisers of the Broadcast and Digital Media Convention – West Africa (which is co-located with the 1st National Conference of the Society of Nigeria Broadcasters – SNB) have confirmed that the spotlight will turn to a critical aspect of our digital age: the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with regards audiovisual content production and distribution.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not just a buzzword; it’s revolutionising audiovisual content production and distribution. It’s offering unprecedented efficiency, creativity, and personalisation. AI tools like deep learning algorithms transform how content is created and edited in production. Automated editing software can analyse raw footage, selecting the best clips to create cohesive narratives, significantly reducing the time and labour traditionally required. AI-driven special effects and animation tools enhance visual storytelling, enabling the creation of more complex and visually stunning scenes that would be time-consuming or impossible to achieve manually.

Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of this platform and co-convenor of this event, emphasised the conference’s importance in shaping the future of the broadcasting sector in the region. He said, “AI is a game-changer in the audiovisual industry, streamlining production processes, enriching content quality, and enhancing the viewer experience through sophisticated distribution techniques. As AI technology continues to evolve, its impact on the industry is set to grow, promising even more innovative and efficient ways to create and share content.”

“The forthcoming industry summit, which we are convening in collaboration with the Broadcasting Organisations Of Nigeria (BON), is designed to assist industry stakeholders and players in assessing the multiple roles, responsibilities and opportunities in the sector.” Mr Pius concluded.
