Telecom Egypt, in partnership with Huawei, has announced their plan to deploy an advanced 5G network across Egypt. This aligns with Telecom Egypt’s commitment to enhance digital offerings and deliver innovative solutions to its customers. The 5G network is renowned for its high-speed internet and wider bandwidth, which promises an unparalleled experience. The low latency compared to previous generations will ensure seamless communication even during peak demand.

The deployment of 5G networks will enable Telecom Egypt to provide innovative solutions and services tailored to various sectors and industries requiring real-time decision-making capabilities, including manufacturing, telehealth, education, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Huawei will leverage its latest state-of-the-art network solutions, including 5G wireless, 5G service-oriented core, and 5G-ready transport network, to facilitate the smooth adoption of 5G technology and unlock its full potential.

Huawei has already established 5G sites in key locations across Egypt, utilising its most advanced wireless technologies to achieve maximum data transfer rates (throughput) in line with theoretical capacities based on available spectrum.

According to Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Telecom Egypt, 5G technology provides high data rates with low latency for applications and services, allowing customers to enjoy new and diverse digital experiences and driving efficiency and productivity across various industrial sectors of Egypt.

Jim Liu, Huawei Egypt CEO, added that the collaboration will significantly expedite Egypt’s digital transformation, leveraging the immense potential of 5G to improve broadband experiences, launch new services, and venture into B2B markets.
